About Twysted Bristles
At Twysted Bristles, the focus is on you. Our acrylic painting classes are offered in a private studio on our five acre farm, seated on the cusp of Lake Lavon in Princeton, Tx. Nestled in a peaceful country setting and surrounded by tall trees, you will feel the stress of the city melt away as you explore your own personal expression of art. Come out to the country that is just minutes from McKinney or Allen.
We offer you more! More interaction, more specialized technique training and a more rewarding personal creative experience. You will enjoy using a wide variety of brushes and other tools, try your hand on practice paper before you apply to the canvas, and we will answer your questions and show you the techniques.
Twysted Bristles' is owned by local artist, Gigi Burgess. You will receive personal instruction directly from her.
Gigi has been an artist since childhood. Her creative ability encompasses both fine arts and commercial arts. She develops all the projects for our classes and instructs, and she is a graphic designer as well.
Inspired by Bob Ross, she has developed techniques to achieve some of his painting styles using acrylics instead of oils. Her classes will teach you the basics of painting to help you develop or improve your skills, and she also guides fun, sip-n-paint classes with more personal, detailed instruction than you might expect elsewhere.
Everyone has creative ability. Our aim is to help anyone who has a desire, to tap into their hidden talent and to teach the skills to enable them to enjoy it.
